WETICO / Saudi Berkefeld has been awarded the turnkey contract for the Rabigh Development Wastewater Treatment Plant Project. As part of Saudi Aramco’s continuous support of local OEM’s the project was awarded based on the competitive bid package provided as well as the technical evaluation. Main contractor, J.G.C. – Japan, had evaluated the bid packages and selected WETICO / Saudi Berkefeld as their choice contractor for the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Located near the Jubail Industrial Area, Rabigh is undergoing some major work under Saudi Armaco’s development plan. The Wastewater Treatment Plant was designed by WETICO / Saudi Berkefeld as per Saudi Armaco’s standards and requirements. The plant will handle an average flow capacity of 2000 m3/d.
Work is already underway to expedite the completion of the project. Procurement of the major equipment is proceeding and delivery is expected by January 2006.
