WETICO Signs the 240,000 m3/d Jeddah Phase III Desalination Plant Contract

DOOSAN /WETICO JV Sings the 240,000 m3/d Jeddah III SWRO Expansion Contract


WETICO, a Middle East based desalination, water and wastewater treatment company that provides engineering, design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning services worldwide announced today that the DOOSAN / WETICO JV has singed the 3 year EPC contract for the Jeddah III Seawater desalination plant expansion.

The 240,000 m3/d (63.4 MGD) desalination plant which drew international bidders early this year will be constructed in Jeddah on the Western Coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is going to be the largest seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Samer Kassem Mazloum, Deputy General Manager of WETICO said “this project is another success story for WETICO which will be added to our list of accomplishments”. It is worth noting that WETICO is the only Middle East based company to execute a desalination plant of this capacity which is a true leap forward for the company.
