LABORATORY EQUIPMENT:
ICP
Units - We are able to analyze and
provide a detailed report of all present cations
with accuracy up to the ppb level in a sample
within a record time of 5 minutes. The system
can run up-to 50 simultaneous sample test
per operation through automatic sampling.
Total Organic Analyzers
- This instrument provides analysis and
reports on TOC (Total Organic Carbon), TC
(Total Carbon) , IC (Inorganic Carbon),
NPOC, DOC & POC
BOD Systems - This instrument
will analyze and provide a detailed report
on up to 60 samples per operation. BOD tests
require a 5 day incubation period to complete.
Gas Chromotographs - Are
used to separate a mixture of highly complicated
organic compounds, identifying organic components
and constituent concentrations. The components
are then extracted and transferred by a
carrier gas, where the detection of the
constituents is measured in the form of
peaks. The peaks are then transformed to
digital concentrations providing a detailed
report on each compound.
The two methods used by the WETICO analytical
lab are:
- FID (Flame Ionizable Detector) - it
is used for the identification of Aliphatics
and Aromatics.
- ECD (Electron Capture Detector) - it
is used for the identification of chlorinated
Organics.
